Hi Todd,
I tested on a W7 32 box (and also an XP) and it works for me. IE9 complains that the executable isn't downloaded often and may be harmful, but if you tell it to go ahead it works. Try right-clicking and saving the target before running it. Check if it completely downloaded by checking the properties' size is exactly 34,298,720 bytes. This is the same installer as V4.25. You might try if that works on your computer.
You might try turning off any antivirus and make sure you have admin privilages.
As a work around you might install in another computer and just copy the directory over. That is basically all the installer does except for adding a few shortcuts and one app_paths registry entry for Mach3.
Please let us know what you find.
BTW If you are upgrading, after the program is installed if you copy the Data directory from your previous version most of the parameters and screens will be set as they were in the previous version.
Regards

Moving/copy the data directory is the step I ended up missing I guess to retain the current parameters.. Will have to remember that trick.

No problems here with W7 64bit, only IE9 complaining (exe).

I think its just this computer, it's been acting strange lately, probably time for an OS reload. I think I'm going to go back to DOS 3.1 if I can find my old 5.25" floppies and figure out how to stuff them into my computer ( just kidding, well, maybe not!!! ).

I installed the new version just fine but after starting the KMotion software I get this pop up:
KMotion
Error Status Record Size mismatch
Disable further status updates?
Yes No
I can answer Yes or No and the next pop up will be:
KMotion
Read Failed - Auto Disconnect
OK
(It does stay on top of all other windows now :) )
I click OK and the window title says KMotion - Connected but its not.
I went back to v4.24 and it works fine.
Thanks,
Allen

Hi Allen,
This is what happens when the status record size changes between versions. You will get errors until the KMotion.exe and KFLOP Firmware versions match. Just say Yes, ok, then Flash the New Version, then reboot KFLOP and restart KMotion and it will be ok TK

Just, for everyone else's information I found out why the installation never completed for me. I was using Google chrome with about 40 tabs open. This was using about 2Gb of memory on my computer. I tried to install when it was open but after 5 minutes there was no response or installation prompts. Immediately after closing Google chrome the installation continued. I tried this several times, and it seems that if my memory usage was above 3Gb the installation would not continue. I never considered this an issue because I have 8Gb of ram on a 64 bit operating system, but it was. Hope this helps someone else.
